This is just the beginning of my project and i have had so much fun creating this mood board as you can see!! I love my theme and i have really been getting into it! I cant wait to start designing and seeing the outcomes but i will post more pictures as i go through!!

ONLY ME......

Well i have just kicked off the year with probably one of the most interesting projects ive done so far, i only wish i could show my work but weve just worked for a company and you'll see it in 2014!! I am so proud of my work this year and i think ive found my niche as to what i love doing! Im just so excited for next year at new york!!! It will be an experience never to forget! And it'll give me an idea of what it would be like to live and work over there so i cannot wait, but before alll that my next project is fashion so im more excited and cannot wait and as always i will get those pictures of my finals up if only i could put my last ones up!!

LOVE MY FREE TIME!!....

As Ever I Have Always Loved Dying From The Start Over Embroidery And I Have Started My Own Little Dying Lab At Home With My Dyes And Fabric Trying Different Techniques, Having The Best Time, I Have Even Got My Own Mam Involved And Shes Loving It!!.. Yet As Everyone Knows I Am Not All That Keen On Tie Dye, It Reminds Me Of The Hippys And It Always Being In The Circle Rainbow Coloured!!(Tacky Grrr...), But I Love Twisting And Pleating The Material To See What Outcome I Get, So I Have Done Abit Of That Which Looks Nothing Like That Kind Of Tie Dye!!, But I Do Like Dip Dye And I Have Done A Few Examples Which Have Both Dip Dye And Pleated/Manipulated Fabric Techniques Included.

I Have Also Done Both Powder Dyes And Natural Dying, But i Have To Leave The Natural Dying Abit Longer Outside So I Havent Seen The Results Yet! (Exciting) But Im Sure They Will Come Out Looking Lovely As Ever!.. As Always I Have A Few Photo's From My Dying And The Jars Of My Natural Dyes....

I've Done Some Leaf Pounding Which Looks Great You Can Only See A Little Abit Of This In The Background On The Pictures, But I Love Being All Practical And Cant Wait To Get More Material From The Market And Different Coloured Dyes!!!... It Can Only Get Better And More Interesting!!

I Am Very Fortunate To Live A Few Stops Away On The Metro From A Weekly Market On A Saturday And Sunday!! I Love This Market And Have Had A Few Good Buys Lately, I Am Going On Sunday Again To See What Else Can Come Into My Possession!!

 As well As This Market There Is Also A Few Interesting Shops Within A Church About 5 Minutes Away From The Market Which I Have Also Got A Few Goodies!, I Love Doing This In My Own Time Because Its Never The Same Things And Its Always Interesting To See What your Going To Come Across, i Also Find It Very Therapeutic And Relaxing.

This Was A GORGEOUS Vintage Shop In The Church And I Couldnt Have Gone In There And Not Buy Anything So I Had To Purchase A Gorgeous Vintage Scarf!!

But... For The Winter I Have My Eye On Those Fur Coats (Their Real) And I Wasnt Too Sure On Them At First I Felt Sorry For The Animals But Then Thought To Myself Why Let The Animals Die For Nothing And At least Wear Them!!! So I Want One Definately Except Their SOOO Heavy But Gorgeous And Soft!!



This Cute handmade Shop Is Also In The Church It Does Some Gorgeous Items Which Are All Handmade And Very Crafty!!, I Loved This Little Shop And Bought A Couple Of Items, And I Will Definately Being Visiting Again Soon!!

OPPORTUNITY OF A LIFE TIME....

Well, Lucky For Me I Have Just Been Offered A Work Placement With My All Time Favourite Designer ZANDRA RHODES!!!
So, For Two Weeks In November I Will Be Working In Her Gorgeous Studio And Learning How Things Happen In The Industry, I Cant Wait And Cant Believe I Have Been Chosen For This Experience! Im So Happy This Will Be The Biggest And Best Thing I Have Done To Date!! ZR.

OH Andddd, In September I Am Also Going To Attend My First Year At London Fashion Week To Make Up For Me Missing 'New Designers', So I Cant Wait For That Too!! Its Going To Be A Very Exciting Next Few Months For Me,

SORRY I HAVE NIGLECTED MY BLOG.....

Well.. i have been to occupied with the end of year project and also starting the new fantastic project over these few weeks of summer!!.. but also i have found this new amazingggg website called Pinterest and it is soooo addictive ive also been asked to start pinning on other peoples boards!! Anyway.. this is my final work from my last project Hope you like it!!...

These were my final garments and i think they worked out quite well, yet the coloured roses diddnt work as i had hoped because of the colours but i still think its effective. Underneath is also a few drawings from the project....

I'm still trying to get comfortable with my drawing so i was very pleased with the outcome of these sheets my drawing skills have definately improved since the last project and personally i think these look great even though there is not alot on them i still think the qaulity of what is on there is great!!

So I will keep you updated for the next project which i cant wait to get my teeth into!! its gunna be a corker!! cant wait see you soon and hopefully sooner than last time!!

MY LOVE, PASSION AND INSPIRATION!!...

-- I have ALWAYS had a love for high fashion and couture since i started my fashion course (who wouldn't),

it has always took my interest with the outrageous designs and different materials,

yet executed beautifully and elegantly.

This above collection by Prada isn't high fashion but one of my all time favourites by far,

i love how the colours blend together and

the choice of colours are gorgeous!!

-- This is another one of my favourites, even though this was created to emphasise the headpiece's,

and the headpieces are made out of paper!

it is still outstanding and by the legend Karl Lagerfeld himself, i say no more!
-- Chanel S/S 09'.

-- This is one of my favourite high fashion designs,

i prefer haute couture because it is more elaborate but i love the way they have layered and ruched this fabric on the dresses, so simple but it stands out!!

-- Bonttega Veneta Fall 11'

-- And last but not least the greatest high end fashion designer of all time, Mr Alexander McQueen,

His pieces are so Beautifully designed and made,

they connect with people, and to be able to do that as a designer is amazing,

he is such an inspiration to me and I'm sure to everyone else too,

i love all his collections and these are just a few, but no matter what project,

i always relate back to his designs to take ideas and inspiration,

One of my all time favourite designers to date!!

-- Overall i love seeing the new up and coming designers aswell as the well known,

too see what the new trends and designs are, i get all excited like a little kid.

But i suppose thats why i love high end and haute couture, their so different from each other,

but both so unique and beautifull i cant wait to see this years and next years collections,

WELL WELL WELL.....

-- As you may have guessed, yet another project has began!!

And currently i am doing my research and i love this part of new projects

Because it gives you a reason (as if you need one) to spend endless hours looking

at the current trends and some favs from the past!!

This re- inspires me and motivates me more each time to try harder and think creatively

to design some unique and intreaging end products!!

Im all excited and ready to start this new project with a fresh look on things

and make sure my time management skills are up to standard!!

But as always, i shall keep you updated and post the end results!!

SEWN FINALS...

-- Here are my sewn finals, as i said i preferred print and to be honest it shows in these finals, i do like them and especially the last one which took the most planning and creating, but it was good being able to learn new techniques on different sewing machines with different materials!!

But yes, it was fun to do, probably would have liked more time to make more interesting pieces but, Everything happens for a reason i say!!

PRINT FINALS...

-- I Enjoyed Doing Print... Definately preferred doing this than sewing and i thought that at the start of this project, since doing fashion for two years i would prefer sewing but after experimenting with the different parts of my screen, colours and discharge i definately LOVE print better!!!! ...My prints are'nt perfect, im still experimenting with print but i will definately carry on using this technique in the future!!
